A 14 hp B&S engine total oil capacity is 48 ounces. Add 4 more ounces if the engine is equipped with an oil filter. This is the total dry capacity. Start by adding 5 ounces less so that you do not overfill the engine. Some oil will remain in the engine even if you drain all the oil out you can. Use the dipstick as your guide to when it is full.
