My 1991 5.0 liter H.O. LX Ford Mustang took ( 5 U.S. quarts of 5W-30 ) with
engine oil filter change
* don't forget it has ( 2 ) drain plugs in the oil pan because it needs to clear the rack and pinion steering

According to fordparts.com For a 1991 Ford Mustang : Both the 2.3 liter four cylinder and the 5.0 liter V8 use the ( Motorcraft FL-1-A ) engine oil filter
In the Mustang of that year having a 6.75 in. rear end in it you would need 2.5 pints of gear oil. This is 90 wt. oil. If you have a 7.50 in. rear end, you would need 3.5 pints of the 90wt oil.
