Because dialysis is expensive and if the kidneys still work why would the insurance want to pay for it. Its all political and about $$
Well, being 73 yrs old, having diabetes, and triple bypass does not mean that you are dying. The kidneys failing is a serious condition. However, it depends how much they are failing. IF it is sudden sometimes they try to reverse it with iv fluids to stimulate the kidneys. Dyalisis is always an option and again, it depends how much urine the kidneys are producing. Diabetes and high blood pressure either together ot each on alone can cause the kidneys to malfunction. Now the part about the blood not reproducing is a topic to worry about. Again it depends how severe these conditions are. If by not producing blood you mean that he is anemic, there is medication for that. Like Iron if the condition is mild. Now if his blood count is so low that it is affecting him like his hemoglobin blood level can affect his breathing and his hematocrit blood level can affect his blood flow, blood pressure, and his heart and kidneys. Again it depends how serious his conditions are and the blood is more serious if that's what you meant by blood not reproducing. Good luck
The adrenal glands are located on top of the kidneys.
