You shoud come out of the saddle about 30 degrees when jumping, but it actually depends on how high the jump is that you are tackling. If is is a very high jump, eg. over 1 metre, then you would have to get out of the saddle more to be able to balance with your horse. Hope this helps. =)

You can jump in a saddle seat saddle the same way that you could jump in a western saddle or bareback. However, it will be difficult because the balance in a saddle seat saddle is different from that in a hunt seat saddle. With a saddle seat saddle, your weight is further back, and the stirrups are much longer. Also, saddle seat saddles lack knee rolls. If you are going over high jumps, it will be very hard to keep your balance in a saddle seat saddle.

yes, but by leaning foreward with the horse you are allowing it to jump easier because you are moving with it. without moving with it, the horse does not have as much balance

If you buy a top quality stubben then it could be up to $4000 on just the saddle. but then if you buy a wintec it could be really cheap at around 300 dollars. it all depends on your level of riding and how much you are willing to spend. Ps another option is buying a used saddle. That is what i just did the original price new was 1700 dollars, but i got it for 628 and it has only been girthed once.

You need something that will fit both the horse and the rider. I recomend stongly that you go through a saddler and he will give professional advice on what route to take. But dont think that just because you are going through a saddeler that the prices with be high, you can ask for second hand or the lower price ranges. A saddle is a very imporatnt part of riding UNLESS BAREBACK! , A bad saddle can cause a bad and that is when your horse will start to nap, buck, reer... so on. Go through a Saddeler and dont just buy a saddle of a friend or a random shop thinking that you can fit it yourself!! x The most expensive 1 probably! The 1 I got was recommended by pro and was SWEET!

The main difference is the saddle. English saddle is generally a lot lighter and has no horn. Western saddle is heavier and does have a horn. You can also walk, trot, canter, and gallop on both. Another main difference is the way you sit on it. English you have to use pressure everywhere, so it's not as comfortable for the horse. Western saddles are much more deep and much more comfortable. Your question was a little confusing, haha. But, in my opinion, it is safest to ride in a saddle, because you have the stirrups and you don't slide as much as you would bareback, and plus with a saddle it's much more comfortable.
