for a baby - no such thing For a toddler - should get 12-14 hours per day for kids age 5+ - should get 10-12 hours per day for teenagers - 12 hours is acceptable (their hormones are changing and new studies show they need more sleep than they are getting now) Adults - personal decision, at least 8 hours, but more than 12 makes you groggy and too much sleep can cause depression (from a chemical imbalance).

I think everyone is different.....I think you should just get up when you've had enough. That could be 4 hrs...could be 12hrs...especially if you're a teenager.LOL

It varies. 6-8 hours is what is considered to be the idea range but, it can vary greatly between people. Try to find a range that works with your schedule. The best way to tell if you are getting enough sleep is when you wake up naturally near the time you are supposed to get up.

It depends on your age. Children aged 0-6 need 10-12 hours each night, ages 7-12 need 9-10 hours, and adults need around 8 hours.
