depends on the size of 6 volt battery, if it's 4AAA might get 24 hours straight however if the 6 volt battery has a MAH (Milli amp hours) of say 75 then this case you might get 275 hours. much like the emergency back up light system in a warehouse, those are likely 6 volt

What does glow plug flashing mean in Jag 2 liter diesel?

I imagine that if the light is blinking the engine most likely has a glow plug out. This can often be tested by removing the preheat harness from the time/relay and using a test light. Attach the clip of the test light to the positive connection of the vehicles battery. Then probe the terminal of each glow plug, you might have to remove insulators and things to get to them. The result, if it lights up its good, if it does not, replace.

Why do glow-in-the-dark things stop glowing after some time?

When things that are supposed to glow in the dark don't, it is usually because they were not exposed to other sources of light. For example, glow stars only glow if the light in the room they decorate has been on for sometime, in a kind of absorbtion process. Without previous contact with a light source they can't glow.

What happens when a bulb is attached to a battery?

When a bulb is attached to a battery or a cell as scientists call it, the bulb glows. If you want a bulb to glow more and more brighter, it depends on how many batteries you attached to the bulb. If you attach a lot of batteries at the same time, the bulb might even explode or burn out. The wires that hold the interaction between a light bulb and the battery is electricity. The electricity flows through the wires and touches the bulb and that is how a light bulb glows.
