Sid Vicious spent 4 days in Rikers Island immediately after arrest for the October 12th stabbing of girlfriend Nancy Spungen. He was released on bail October 16th. While out on bail, he was involved in an altercation in a bar, viloating the terms of his bond. This was December 9, 1978. He was sent back to Rikers Island. This time he spent 55 days. He was released on bond again 02/01/1979. He died the next day.
