Well, you should be looking at $400 to $500 for labor. Then, you're going to spend a few hundred in parts. This would include a new water pump ($50), idler pulleys ($20 or so) and a tensioner (can be $100) (all of these might as well be replaced so the belt doesn't break again).
You'll also need a new head gasket set, valve cover gasket, and crankshaft and camshaft seals (2 if it's dual overhead cam). These will run another $150 perhaps.
Ok, then you'll pay for the replacement valves (5-10 bucks a piece for 16 valves, or just replace the ones that are damaged) and you'll have to get them machined for another $200-300.
Easily $1000 total. Walk away. Car ain't worth it. Or get a mechanic you love.
i need how much pression (torque) for head daewoo nubira 2001 2.0
Our 1.6L Nubira had a timing gear fail. The mechanic at the time continued to turn the engine over in the attempt to start it which bent all 16 valves in the head. The repair cost was over $1700.00 & that was back in 2006. You might be better to go & pull a head from another Nubira from a reputable wreckers.
About $300.00 in Denver, Colorado
R3000.00
500-600 dollars
it would proubly cost alot
about 2895
about 1500 dollars
Assuming you're talking about hydraulic valves for cars, the replacement part prices seem to fall in the $150-$250 range.
hey..... the Nubira has 2 thermostats .......... one right in front of you which is right where that big rubber on your left (while facing the engine) meets the engine.......and one behind the engine......... the one in front of you directly is the water thermostat.... it pretty much comes standard and all you have to do is un screw it (while the engine is cold) and replace the new one. there are 3 screws attached to the engine....(the lower one is kinda hard to get to) and it is optional to change the rubber hoses as well just as assurance. but i don't know much about the thermostat at the back because that one is related to the cooling fans in the front.
