-adding to- This took me a lot of research, so I hope you appreciate the sharing you can find a link to the actual Daewoo diagram at the following link:

Please be careful jacking up the Daewoo as the oil pan in this has what is refered to as a Liquid gasket it is meant to be practicaly perminent and usually does not require removal unless it has experienced some type of impact. On the Camshaft Postioning sensor I had to order one of these straight from Daewoo themselves at cost of $117.00 this came with the directions and list of recalled part. Daewoo will only reemburse you if the part is one of the CMP Lot numbers so check the CMP lot number first (1267-2321) Directions: With the engine off, disconnect the negative side of the battery remove the valve cover spark plug location, disconnect the wire harness from the Camshaft sensor remove the camshaft positioning sensor check with following recalled numbers if it matches in the (1267-2321) codes you need to call Daewoo for the replacement part. (866) 362-1234 (yes that is the real number). Hope these links and information is helpfull. :D
What would cause the engine not to start on a Daewoo Leganza after the timing belt broke?

My timing belt was almost broke and they sais that it was a good thing that I got it to the dealer when I did, or the entire thing would have been wrecked. I don't think even a new engine would help Daewoo's have interference engines, more them likely you bent some or all of the valves...

IDLE LEARN PROCEDURE Whenever the battery cables, the engine control module
(ECM), or the ECM fuse is disconnected or replaced, the
following idle learn procedure must be performed:
1. Turn the ignition ON for 5 seconds.
2. Turn the ignition OFF for 5 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition ON for 5 seconds.
4. Start the engine in park/neutral.
5. Allow the engine to run until the engine coolant is
above 185° F (85°C ).
6. Turn the A/C ON for 10 seconds, if equipped.
7. Turn the A/C OFF for 10 seconds, if equipped.
8. If the vehicle is equipped with an automatic transaxle,
apply the parking brake. While pressing the
brake pedal, place the transaxle in D (drive).
9. Turn the A/C ON for 10 seconds, if equipped.
10. Turn the A/C OFF for 10 seconds, if equipped.
11. Turn the ignition OFF. The idle learn procedure is
complete

Why would a Daewoo Leganza not shift out of gear?

I have a 2000 Leganza and it would not shift out of park/gear recently. I discovered it was a bad brake switch with signals the brake lights to activate and the shifter to release. The switch is a small plug-type part and I found a used one on line for about 30 bucks. labor to put it in was about 50. !

I had same problem years ago - there was a recall on the brake light switch - you may be able to get it replaced for free?
In case you get stuck though and need to get it home - stick a screw driver into the slot next to your shifter to get it into gear. Get the switch fixed though - your brake lights may not be coming on.
Why would the internal heating of a 2001 deawoo leganza not be working even thought the engine thermostat has been replaced and the systme has been bled?

It's probably not getting heated coolant to the radiator. Check the heater control valve and the control on the dasboard.
