the water is very important to the wworld so in order to make it radiator it needs some love and care, thats wht makes the world go round and the Chevy Astro van is in the world so it alll makes sence(:
Look under the hood for the radiator fan. The fan is mounted to the pulley at the front of the water pump.
Remove the bottom radiator hose on your 1996 Chevy Lumina radiator. Put a water hose in the top of the radiator. Allow the water hose to run until the water draining from the bottom of the radiator runs clear.

On the bottom of the radiator. If there is no drain plug, simply remove the lower radiator hose to drain the coolant from the radiator.
Drain the 90 Astros radiator into a pan. Dispose of the coolant properly as it is toxic to animals. Remove the top radiator hose and water inlet. Remove the thermostat from under the inlet and replace. reverse the procedures to finish the installation.
Remove the coolant from your 1997 Chevy Malibu radiator. Remove the bottom radiator hose. Run water through the top of the radiator allowing it to run out the bottom.
Remove the bottom radiator hose from your 1995 Chevy Lumina radiator. Put a water hose in the top of the radiator. Allow the water hose to run. Keep the water running until clear water runs out of the bottom of the radiator.
Drain the water from your 1996 Chevy Astro Van cooling system. Remove the water pump belt. Remove the water return hose. Remove the water pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new water pump.
one large hose from bottom of radiator to side of water pump. other large hose from thermostat housing to top of radiator. one heater hose from water pump to heater core, I think this one has a Y in it if there is a rear heater other heater hose from heater core to somewhere on top the engine. If there is a rear heater, its return hose goes to a fitting on the radiator.

Remove the water supply hose from your 1987 Chevy Astro thermostat housing. Remove the thermostat housing retaining bolts. Remove the old thermostat and drive in the new thermostat.
The thermostat on a 1999 Chevy is in the lower radiator hoe unbolt it at the water pump.
