The best way is to use an anchoring system. Now which one you should use depends on what you are hanging on the wall. For small things like pictures, plastic anchors work well. For larger, heavier things something like a molly or "butterfly" bolt system should be used.

You can plaster a wall with Portland cement and fine sand mixture. Polymers are plastics and I've found nothing on using them in a mixture to plaster a wall.

In order to hang beaded curtains make sure you secure them with hooks & into a solid wall as opposed to dry wall that has nothing behind it to secure it to. If the beads are somewhat heavy, use weight bearing hooks to offset the weight.
