An author's success, whether on the first novel or any after it, is heavily dependent on a number of factors. First, and perhaps most important, is how the novel is marketed. If the word gets out about it and good things are being said, you can expect a large number of people to purchase it. If not, the novel is likely to sink. Second is the target audience, those who would be reading the book. If the book is targeted towards a large demographic, you may expect one of two possibilities: it will become largely successful on a grand scale (think of Rowling's "Harry Potter" series), or it will be so broad that it will not attract anyone. Striking a delicate balance is key. While there are several more points, listing them would be redundant; suffice it to say, the odds of calculating exactly how much a fantasy novel will make, especially the first book by a specific author, is next to impossible. Other factors include the fame of the author, the publishing company, and the contract agrenment. Sometimes when an author writes a book if a publishing company picks up the book imediatly the author could be given a single payment for the book in order for the publishing company to take the entire profit the book will make in the future. Another way the companies often do it is, they will pay the author a percentage of all the profits of the book.

The income a fantasy author makes from their first book can vary widely depending on factors like the publisher, book sales, and advance. Typically, first-time authors may receive an advance between $5,000 to $15,000, but actual earnings will depend on book sales and royalties. It's important to remember that success in the publishing industry often takes time and multiple books before significant income is generated.

It all depends if whether or not the book sells good. If the book is like Harry Potter than you will obviously get a lot of money per book.

The book is simply a romance-fantasy novel. It isn't really intended to make a point about anything. However, you can get a lot of themes and points out of any piece of writing if you look. 'Don't judge a book by its cover' and 'true love is not always at first sight' are a couple.
