The Torah commands the Jews to go to the Holy Temple three times a year (Deuteronomy ch.16).

Jews who lived outside the Holy Land, as well as non-Jews, did not have an obligation to visit the Holy Temple, though many of them made an effort to go there at least once.

People cannot visit King Solomon's Temple since it was destroyed by the Babylonians when they invaded Israel and took them captive. This occurred in 588 BC, towards the end of the nineteenth year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar King of Babylon.
