Akbar was a very tolerant ruler. He married 2 Hindus, 1 Christian, and 1 Muslim. He had a Spanish Jesuit tutor his son, and he even abolished a tax on non-Muslims. He created a bureaucracy in which Hindus and Muslims could serve, and granted Hindus and Muslims land grants in exchange for loyalty. He showed his religious tolerance by becoming a vegetarian so as not to offend the Hindus and building Hindu temples. In 1575, he built a 'house of worship' where scholars of all religions could meet for discussion.
With Jehovah's people, --- religion is a 'way of life'. We practice our religion constantly. For example: when we are honest, we're practicing our religion. When we preach from house-to-house, we're practicing our religion. When we read the Bible at home, we're practicing our religion. When we pray privately, we're practicing our religion. When we avoid immorality, and remaining chaste for marriage, we're practicing our religion. We also meet together as a group for worship. But we have NO RITUALS. We don't light candles, nor do we wave smoke canisters. We pay no reverence to the cross. We don't say religious mantras over-&-over like: 'Hallelujah / Praise the Lord / Amen,' etc. Our meetings are 'EDUCATIONAL' centers. Learning about the Bible together / encouraging others by our expressions at the meetings / singing our unique songs; this is also how we practice our religion. So in brief: We practice our religion WHEREEVER we are; and in WHATEVER we're doing to obeying Jehovah God. That's the truth, and nothing but the truth.
usually when Hindu people meet each other they greet with namaste. When the meet someone older in age they touch their feet & ask for blessings.
In the United States, student religion groups are generally allowed to meet in public schools as long as they follow the same guidelines and policies that apply to other student-led organizations. Schools must ensure that there is no sponsorship or endorsement of a particular religion by the school itself.
Hindus do a number of things with the Qur'an including reading it, ignoring it, or opposing the violence that plagues Indian societies because of the divisions between monotheists and polytheists in the Qur'an. As for what Jews think, Jews think a wide variety of things, but I have yet to meet a Jew who actively thinks about what Hindus might or might not do with a Qur'an.
