Typically a bibron gecko will shed every 20-40 days if daily upkeep is being met and requirements are kept at all times. These animals do not require a daily misting but do require a standing bowl of water and need to have a humid hide present in the terrarium for the purpose of shedding.

Can Bibron geckos dig and why?

Yes, bibron geckos have been known to dig on multiple occasions! From laying their eggs - finding a meal. When a bibron gecko is looking to find a suitable place to deposit their eggs, they will usually find a damper location and drop them 2-4+ inches beneath the soil. When shedding, a bibron will also find a damper location and may dig. They will also dig to find larve and worms.

Bibron geckos do not change color as in trying to mimic their background but as with most geckos, they can lighten and darken depending on a few factors: stress, husbandry, light cycle, tank mates, dehydration, malnutrition, diet or even breeding season. If they animals are not completely happy and content, they tend to look darker than the usual color.
