You will want to check all the fluids atleast 2ce a month i do it 1st and 15th, because you never know if anything begins to leak and is runing low always when you pull in or pull out of you parking space or garage check if any fluid on ground then dont want for 1st or 15th and check make sure all fluids are at correct level. Its never going to hurt to check it as often as you can. It will hurt car and your wallet if you dont.
Hope this helps :)
there is a transmission fluid check dipstick under the hood, get a funnel and use this tube. It drains directly into the transmission. check often while adding fluid, to much will damage it.

I hear that for Optra's there is no way to check the transmission fluid level, other than to actually remove the transmission fluid cover under the vehicle. Your best bet is to just replace the transmission fluid level at a certain interval (GM says 160,000km), but I would go for more often .
In the transmission. You add fluid the same place you check the fluid level. Buy a transmission funnel to make it easy.In the transmission. You add fluid the same place you check the fluid level. Buy a transmission funnel to make it easy.
