How often do you feed Red-Bellied Piranhas Also other than live feeders what is the best food for these fish?

Go to you local grocery store ask the butcher for beef heart. Slice it up for them. Also, any other white fish at the counter.. Even catfish. ..my store stocks swai for $1.99lb and they love it. When you can find raw shrimp on sale get that.. Don't cook it and I peel mine. Mine are very happy and knows when it's feeding time. Remember, don't feed them goldfish. One, messy, they carry disease, and no nutrition value for your RB. I even spoke to a chemist regarding goldfish and he told me they a chemical in them that will stunt your RBs growth...:(

hey i have two 4 inch red belly piranhas with me at college, mine eat 2 small feeders each per day, and i give them 10 from late Friday til monday morning when I'm back home for the weekend and i havent had a problem. If your looking for your piranhas to eat right as soon as you feed them feed them 2ea every other day. cheers.
