Feed can be purchased daily, annually or anywhere in between. The primary issue is affordability and shelf life. Most bagged feeds keep well for 6 months if kept in a cool dry environment and when purchased in bulk there is often a substantial discount.
Hay can be purchased annually based which cutting is preferred as long as the purchaser has the ability to store it where it can remain undamaged by weather. I have seen articles that say not to purchase a year's worth of hay because the last hay that you feed will be a year old...but, if you want to feed only second cutting it will all be a year old at some point whether you purchase it new or before next year's second cutting becomes available.
However often you run out.
you can feed a horse hay, carrots ,apples and you need to feed the horse at less two times a day
It depends on the horse. If your horse is fat then you need to cut down on the horse feed, but if your horse is too skinny then you need to increase their feed until the horse gets back up to his/her weight.
you can't, you don't need to feed your horse.
I guess you would need basic items if you have a horse. A feed bag, curry brush, etc. are good horse items for horse people.
Feed really depends on what sort of horse you have. There are loads of different types of feed like pasture mix, chaff and feed balancer. If the horse lives out, it probably won't need feed because it will graze on the grass. You can supplement with hay if the grass is poor. Horses living in will need hay or haylage (which has more energy) and often get feed. It also depends on how much work your horse does and if they need feed to maintain good condition. Basic saddling or tack is a saddle and bridle. I think it's good to use a numnah (saddle cloth) under the saddle and you might want to put protective boots/bandages on the horses legs if you are jumping or in slippy conditions. I really hope this helps. You can phone up/ go on feed websites like spillers or dengie to get a feed recemmdation spefic to your horse =^^=
You will need to feed the next highest amount available on the drop down menu. Or you can feed 13 pounds and then get the remainder by putting the horse in the meadow.
ok for starters you feed them grain every day or twice a day and they don`t get a disease they can get a colic or founder but you need to talk to vet or trainer if you have a horse.
Usually the apatite of your horse can answer that for you. But it depends on the weight of the horse and what type of work the horse does. Also on what type of feed you give your horse. If there is a lot of food left after your horse walks away from it, and you notice your horse getting fatter, you need to cut back a little. If your horse tries to eat everything in sight that is eatable and you can see the outlines of its ribs and hip bones, you need to feed more.
It real depends on the size of the horse, the feed and the usage. Lets say you are feeding your (theoretically) 14.2 Cob, 1 scoop morning and night, it will last around 3.5 months That is just from experience, but it all depends on the dietary needs of the horse and if you are sharing the bag.
For a horse living out full time you need at least 1 acre per horse. I would also suggest using a vitamin supplement and if the horse is in medium to hard work then a energy food as well! If you are unsure on what to feed I recommend calling a feed supplier helpline!
you feed them every other day to them.
you can feed you horse hay, carrot and other vegges and dont forget grass
