The transmission filter will be located inside the transmission. Their is no need to replace it if you flush it. A flush will clean everything and rinse the filter

You either need a new transmission or a transmission fluid flush and refill.
To actually "flush" the coolant in this vehicle you will need a flush machine. To do that we did at the dealership, drain the radiator (you need a 1/4 inch ratchet and 1 inch extension) then use a vacuum fill too to fill with new coolant.

Yes! you should flush your transmission fluid at least two or three times a year or when you chanfe your fluid and filter in the tranny.
Need more information as to the make and model. Some are easy some are hard. No set rule. i have a 2002 buick regal ls is trying to find out how to intall a transmission for it.
probably a good idea the gearbox is very tetchy regarding transmission fluid
