Most newer engines need belt replacement between 80 thousand and one hundred twenty thousand miles. Better check the owner's manual that came with the car; it will tell you under periodic maintenance. ERROR on the safe side though; I've seen the results of a broken belt turn a $225 job into an $1100 job; nasty!
