its recomened every 30,000 mile as well as plugs and wires
600000
it should be right be hind the distributor and u will a need a special wrench at a parts store its round at the bottom an got a wire on it that clips on to the oil pressure unit
It would be recommended.
100,000
change both the fluid and filter every 50,000 miles
How long should it approximately work a car distributor?
The oil change interval is listed in your owner's manual. Have the oil & filter changed at least every 5,000 miles.
you get new points and conencers and then remove distributor cap then remove old points and condencers and put the new ones in after u remove them you should get a good idea how to put the new ones in
Distributor cap should have 2 clips - release theseRotor should just pull off - has a key to install in proper position make sure new is installed with key in slot Replace distributor cap -(should have a pin to insure it goes in only one position) Move one wire at a time from old to new so they don't get mixed up
The rotor inside the distributor should be pointing at the #1 spark plug.
The distributor should face forward rather than backward on the Chevy 350. It is important to mark the front face of the distributor before removing it.
At tdc compression it should be pointing at #1 on the distributor cap.
