You can feed your turtle twice a day, once a day, every other day, or even every two or three days. The only rule about feeding aquatic turtles is that you are only supposed to feed them however much they can eat in a few minutes (like, 5 minutes).
So, if you choose to feed the turtle only every other day, or every two or three days, then you will need to give it larger feedings. If you choose to feed it twice a day, or once a day, then the amount of food you give for each feeding should be much smaller.
I have a 2 year-old red-eared slider. I used to feed her about 50 pieces of food a day (50 of those Reptomin floating food sticks). Now I only feed her every two or three days, so I give her 130 pieces of food per serving.
Keep in mind that turtles never stop growing, because they can't get fat. If a turtle got fat, it wouldn't be able to fit in its shell. And turtles are not like hermit crabs: they can't leave their shell and find a new one. So, the shell has to grow with the turtle. Consequently, if you routinely overfeed your turtle, it will just keep growing bigger and bigger.
As I said, you are only supposed to feed a turtle however much it can eat in a few minutes. So, if there are always leftovers floating around the tank after the feeding, then you are feeding the turtle too much.
repto min for babies
They feed on snails, crayfish, tadpoles and aquatic vegetation
As a rule of thumb, you should not feed your turtle anything bigger than his head. Aquatic or semi aquatic turtles can eat fish. However, if you have them in a tank, even with filtration, it can cause an oily film on the surface of the water.
When feeding aquatic turtles you have to put both the turtles and the pellets in water for the turtles to be able to eat the pellets. Unlike humans, aquatic turtles have fixed tongues meaning that they can't move them. So to get the food down their throat they use water. A turtle may grab a chunk of food on land but then they will rush to the nearest water to swallow it. So yes, feed your aquatic turtles in water.
You should feed them aquatic turtle food, such as Reptomin Floating Food Sticks.
what Does Turtles eat?Turtles are herbivores.(they eat veggies)Some type of vegetable are lettuce or carrot. I DON`T RECOMMEND you to feed brocolli. You can feed them grape leaves. Also for fruits, you can feed them figs.Actually, depending on the type of turtle you're referring to, turtles in general ARE omnivores, if you include land, aquatic, and semi-aquatic turtles.Type 1:Land turtles/tortoises. Most species of this type are almost always herbivores. Examples include Box turtles and Harriet, the famous, formerly lived Galapagos turtle. (deceased in 2006)Type 2: Aquatic turtles. Depending on the species, they are carnivores, consisting of mostly meat, with a small percentage of vegetables. Examples include sea turtles such as Leatherbacks, and Loggerheads.Type 3: Semi Aquatic turtleThese kinds of turtles are mostly omnivores, meaning that they eat 50% of fruits and veggies and 50% meat, but this could depend on the environments that they live in. Hatchings tend to prefer a protein-based diet while older turtles tend to lean towards a more vegetarian-based diet. Examples include map turtles, painted turtles, and many pond slider species such as Red Eared Slider, and Yellow-Bellied slider.http://animal.discovery.com/guides/reptiles/turtles/feeding.html

No Its Is Unhealthy . You Should Try Feeding Them Foods That Are In Their Natural Habitat
Turtles, like a red-ear slider, are primarily omnivores. If you have any veggies or fruit in your fridge you can try shaving off very thin, raw slices and feed this to the little guy. They also eat raw meat or fish. If your turtle is actually a land tortoise, stick to grated veggies and dark green leafed lettuce. Aquatic turtles will also eat lettuce greens but this should not be their primary source of food.
