When my guinea pig has her baby it was around 2:00am in the morning, so when I woke up I saw him, and they come out all fluffy, and everything, and when I saw him his eyes were open, and I woke up at 6:00am, I know its early but I had places to go....So I'm guessing that it takes them.....maybe a few minutes really, because when I saw him he was HYPER wide awake jumping all around, so im pretty sure they come out with their eyes open, if thats not what you expierianced, I'd talk to a vet........Hope that helped.....

My six baby hamsters (pups) are 16 days old today and this is the first day they started to open their eyes. One has eyes wide open, some just barely open, and one not open yet so it varies by hamster but typically 15-18 days old.
