In the wild, big cats usually live until age 15 or so. In captivity, they live a few years longer. The maximum in captivity is around 20 years.

The average tabby "mut" cat will live 9 to 15 years. The Maine Coon (a large breed) lives an average of 7, although i have seen Maine Coons live up to 12, maybe older.
