Legally it depends on what state you are in (similarly to bike helmets or seat belts), most often if you are under 18 it is required by law. It is also dependent on the organization that insures the property, different insurance companies have different helmet requirements. Also if you are at an equestrian competition, certain organizations (4h, pony club, USEF, USDF, etc, etc) have different regulations on helmet wearing. Even the class you are competing in can dictate whether or not you are required to wear a helmet, jumping classes are more likely to require one, whereas many dressage tests will not. It is always recommended to wear a helmet at any age due to the likelyhood of a head injury.
You should never stop wearing a riding helmet. They keep you safe. Many advanced riders use helmets.
After it is 2 years old.
it is your choice but i advice you that if you are aboutt 70 years old DO NOT ride because it might strain your bones. p.s. always wear a safety helmet whilst riding.
I was about 8 when I started riding horses and am still hooked.
A good place to look is your local therapeutic riding center or horse rescue shelter. Some of rescues and riding centers will have age restrictions on volunteers, but many would allow a twelve year old so it's certainly worth checking. Also try calling riding academies around you. They may let you help out in the barn (feeding, cleaning stalls and stuff like that) in exchange for riding lessons.
Because when old people age, their skin starts wearing a bit thin
Answer. Well it depends...How old is the horse, how long have you had it? You don't need to know much but you do need to know what you are doing. I have been riding since I was 4 years old and I am now 16 years old. I starting training (Working with my own horses) when I was 9 years old. so now I have my own training business. I hope that helps.

There is never an age to stop wearing a helment. they can save a persons life and not wearing one could do dammage. so i believe that you should wear a helment if your 78 of just 6...:p
most likely a small to medium.
The law isn't the same all over, so it depends on where you're at and how old you are.
That depends on where you live. Most states/provinces require that children wear helmets when operating or riding on motorcycles.
probably 10,11 or 12 to start riding one to age 60-75 to stop riding
probaly not
You are NEVER too old for a helmet!
yes because no matter how old you are you can still get hurt
Well, the most obvious thing is that if you fall on your head you run a greater risk of injury. Then there are the laws too, in some places all riders are required to wear a helmet, in others it's only young riders. If you live in a place that require helmet you can be fined if caught riding w/o one.
it is not a law anymore so it is now up to people or schools.
because it is old and you might need to buy a new one
