as soon as your horse's feet start to grow longer than they should you should schedule an appointment with the farrier or ask another horse expert for advice.
No but you may have to trim them occasionally it they are growing too quickly.
depending on what breed it is and what the perpose of the horse is, if its a show horse and couple of days before a show so it isn't fluffy, and if its just a non showing horse every 6 months
It depends what kind of trim you want. Please be more specific!!
You hire a farrier; a certified person who is trained to trim and shoe horse's hooves. You can also do it too if you go to school for it.

On Horse Isle, go to a groomer. The building will say TRIM on it. It costs a couple hundred dollars. See www.horseislehelpandcheats.blogspot.com for more tips and help. You can even email them questions!
Your farrier will need to take them off of the horse every 6 to 8 weeks so that he can trim and clean the hoof.
A farrier or horseshoer will trim the feet, then size and shape the shoe before using horseshoe nails or a special glue to apply them to the horse's foot.
Trim in in the spring before the leaves come out.
This is a right bugger of a job. You need to have the trim off and for that you need the door open. And to open the door you need to have the trim off. I got a replacement door trim at a breakers before starting the job. I then cut away the old trim very carefully with shears and eventually got into the mechanism. A tiny clip had come undone. I repaired it by binding with fine copper wire and then fitted the replacement trim. That was three years ago.
A farrier also called a blacksmith or a podiatrist
first of all there are many different ways you need to take care of your horse for many different reasons. if you need saddle care, try to keep the saddle in a place were in wont be worn down and make sure if fits your horse properly. if your nervous about your saddle hurting your horse because its too tight, just relax, your horse will be fine unless the straps are on wrong. keep your saddle clean and in good condition. for every day horse care you need to; brush out its mane and tail, brush off any dust of axcess hair with a metal dust brush for horses that you can get at your local farming stores, brush your horses teeth, pick her hoofs and trim them, scrub with sponge and water, feed, water, let sleep, spray with "fly away spray" to keep the harmful flys away, but most important, be patant and show love to your horse every single day with treats and rewards like good pats. ;) MML
