The stevens model 335 shotgun was made from 1926-1935,with a total production of 2,000 guns made.
The Stevens model 944 was made from 1936-1942.
You have one of only 2,000 model 335 savage shotguns made. These shotguns were made from 1926-1935.
your Stevens arms shotgun was produced between 1926-1935 with only 2,000 total being made.
Your Stevens shotgun was produced from 1978-1985.
Your stevens model 9478 was made by savage/stevens between the years 1978-1985.
Seems to be a misprint in the Blue Book. Model 335 is listed twice, once as 67500 produced 1912-1932 and again as 2000 made 1926-35. If you find the Savage Arms website, I believe you can get an address for the Stevens historian who should be able to give you an exact year of production for a $15 fee.
the savage/stevens no125 was made from 1912-1923,there were 5,000 made.
i need to know where the serial number is on a 16 guage crack barrel, about 30 years old
It s a Stevens model 311D double barrel shotgun serial number A226687 16 gauge. everything is on the side of the shotgun.
It may not have one. Serial numbers were not required by law on rifles and shotguns until 1968.
While I cannot state the exact year of your Stevens model 520 production,I can say that this model of shotgun was made from 1912-1932.Stevens/Savage made 191,000 during these years
If there is no serial number, it is a 1960's model-up to 1968. In 1968 a law was passed requiring all guns to have a serial number.
