Only 130 years or so. The Zion's Watch Tower Tract Society, the first name of the Jehovahs Witnesses, was incorporated in 1884. The term Jehovahs Witness was not adopted by the movement until 1931.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that according to the Bible, the line of witnesses of Jehovah reaches back to faithful Abel. In Hebrews chapter 11, verse 4 through chapter 12, verse 1 we find a list of ancient witnesses of Jehovah recorded, "By faith Abel offered God a sacrifice of greater worth than Cain . . . By faith Noah, after being given divine warning of things not yet beheld, showed godly fear . . . By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed in going out into a place he was destined to receive as an inheritance . . . By faith Moses, when grown up, refused to be called the son of the daughter of Pharaoh, choosing to be ill-treated with the people of God rather than to have the temporary enjoyment of sin . . . So, then, because we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also put off every weight and the sin that easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us."

The Bible makes referrence to Jesus Christ as "thefaithful and truewitness." Who was he a witness of? He himself said that he made his Father's name manifest. The Bible identifies his Father as Jehovah. (Psalms 83:18) He was the foremost witness of Jehovah.-Rev. 3:14; John 17:6.

The modern-day history of Jehovah's Witnesses began with the forming of a group for Bible study in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, U.S.A., in the early 1870's. At first they were known only as Bible Students, but in 1931 they adopted the name Jehovah's Witnesses, taken directly from the Bible. (Isa. 43:10-12)

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that their teachings and practices are a restoration of first-century Christianity started by Jesus Christ.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that a 'faithful and discrete' slave, which in reality is controlled by a governing body, was given divine control over the spiritual lives of all people in 1919. Most of their current beliefs stem from that time, with the exception of few that were dropped when they did not come true, such as the resurrection of Abraham and the faithful men of old in 1926 or the failure of Armageddon to arrive in 1975.

The modern day organization of Jehovah's Witnesses had its beginnings in 1870 with a small group of people who studiously examined the Bible to determine what was truth and what was doctrine in Christianity. In 1879 the first Watchtower magazine was published. Until today it has been published without interruption. Over the years the organization has progressed with teachings and understanding from the Bible. BUT the term 'JEHOVAH'S WITNESS' isn't something new as this name is based on a scripture from the book of Isaiah Chapter 43 verse 10 It was in the eighth century B.C.E. that Jehovah (God) caused Isaiah to write: "'You are my witnesses,' is the utterance of Jehovah, 'even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that you may know and have faith in me, and that you may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none. . . . You are my witnesses,' is the utterance of Jehovah, 'and I am God.'" So even in the 8th century BCE it was normal for persons to witness for Jehovah God. God here is showing that he chose them to witness for him. Even before then from the book of Genesis we can see that there were individuals whose faithful life gave a witness for Jehovah God. In answer HOW LONG? Modern day organization over 120years but through history much longer.

When one considers that the common understanding of the word "religion" means "form of worship" then His religion is as old as his creation. Since he created everything, including all living intelligent beings such as humans and angels, from that time until the angel who became Satan rebelled all intelligent life worshipped him. Dueteronomy 32:43 Septuagint says "Be glad, O heavens, together with him, and let all the angels of God worship him. Be glad, you nations, with his people, and let all the sons of God strengthen themselves in him" Note the footnotes given for the NKJV & NIV, etc at the link below. Also, the first act of human worship we read about in the Bible was directed toward Jehovah. We read in Genesis 4:3-5 - "And it came about at the expiration of some time that Cain proceeded to bring some fruits of the ground as an offering to Jehovah. But as for Abel, he too brought some firstlings of his flock, even their fatty pieces. Now while Jehovah was looking with favor upon Abel and his offering, he did not look with any favor upon Cain and upon his offering. And Cain grew hot with great anger, and his countenance began to fall." NOTE: The person who entered what is written below deleted the answer I am restoring above. Jehova cannot be a religion. there are no evidence in religions. Its only a faith. A religion should have revelations in a form of book and should have a Prophet. There are only four accepted religions revealed by God to David, Moses, Jesus and Mohamed.

The modern day organisation of Jehovah's Witnesses is 140 years old.

Jehovah's Witnesses have been defined as "Christian Restorationists". Restorationists "[seek] to correct faults or deficiencies [in the church] by appealing to the primitive church as a normative model." --The Encyclopedia of the Stone-Campbell Movement: Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), pub. 2004,p. 854 (Restoration, Historical Models of).

Thus Jehovah's Witnesses believe the roots of their religion go back to bible times.

Just under an hour; Since they shortened the public talks to 30-35 minutes the 'ceremony' is a more or less 40 minutes if you count the entrance. But very often there is a reception after and after that many times an evening party too.
