Doctors say that at age 32, a woman's fertility decreases rapidly and at age 35 and up, the pregnancy is considered "high risk". I was born when my mother was 38 and although there were no complications except for Diabetes (which can happen in any pregnancy) it was difficult later in life for me because my siblings were 15 and 16 years older and I had the oldest mom of anyone I knew. she also has said that she did not realise how much her energy level had decreased and she couldn't do alot of things she did with her first children as a young woman.

When you hit menopause for a woman. I think it also matters what health you are in so you will be alive and well until the child is of legal age and can stand on it's own 2 feet financially etc. I feel that is a parent's responsibility if you plan the pregnancy.
