How old is a Springfield Model 67H?

My son has a Springfield Savage Model 67H which was my father's. He recently took it to a gun shop to ask about getting the barrel blued. The shopsmith told him that that particular model of gun, and the fact that it's a Springfield Savage, was last made in either the 1930's or 1940's. He said that most collectors books don't even have them listed. As for the value of it, I found a site where someone has 1 for sale, called "good condition", and he's selling it for $139. For a gun that's about 60 years old, that's not much. It's my guess that the gunsmith really doesn't know when they were last made. I hope this is of some help to you. I can't find an exact period of production for the Model 67, but the Springfield name was last used by Savage in 1948. Watch the one on that website to see if it sells. I'd say it is over-priced by about 10% if it is only in NRA Good condition.
