past fashion plays a roll in the fashions of today. for example, bell bottom jeans from the seventies became an inspiration for flare jeans in later years. the leggings from the eighties were brought back recently as well. basically, several successful trends from the past have made returns to the fashion scene. if you look through old movies, pictures of older relatives, and vintage magazines, you will recognize styles you wear today. however two key points to remember are #1 we dont all dress like the people in movies and magazines, these styles are often an exaggeration of what the common people wore. #2 not all your relatives were fashionable, so you cant trust that the clothes of the pictures of them in the 60s were in.
