4 quarts, that is the short answer. I strongly recommend using SAE 5-20 oil in Honda products. If you use a thicker viscosity SAE 10-30 oil a noisy valve train will develop.
4.5 quarts of SAE 5w20 any major brand. Use High Mileage if you have over 100,000 miles on the odometer.
4.5qt, if u filled 5qt, it will be over 0.5qt. 2004 suggested 5w-20.
