My dad has an '87 with a V8 and it's got 325,961 miles. My brother's ride is an '02 with the 4.2L V6, and he's had absolutely NO mechanical failures for 129,000 miles. My ride is an '09 with the 5.4L V8 Triton that I take on road trips. My odometer just rolled over the 40,000 mark. Not one single problem ever since I got it. So I would say, the Ford F-150 has a reliability rating of 5 out of 5 stars...
