There's a small hole in the side of the key. Fit the biggest jeweller's screwdriver that will fill the hole and push hard. You will be pressing against a plastic sprung clip inside the key. At the same time, near the hole, gently lever up the back of the key with a penknife blade or (better) nail file. Key thing (sorry about the pun..!) is pressure through the hole onto the sprung clip. Good luck - it's just worked for me. PS You'll need a CR1632 battery if it's a 1998+ 9-5 Jerry
