How should a ten year old approach kids his age to be friends with while looking confident and cool my son is having a hard time?

Stop with the acting, its just feeds and breeds peer pressure. You son should be himself and you should provide the necessary positive reenforcement for him to be self confident. I told my son be who he is as we are all different and that is what makes life interesting. Have your son join some school clubs or others outside of school, that will create commodery among him and others, go to church or community activities to be part of something. I know being a kid these days is tough but kids havent changed, parents have.

Having confidence in who you are will help you to be more of a leader in doing your own thing and not following your friends. If you are confident in who you are, you will never worry about what other people think of you.

Well...me(the person answering your question)...has friends...I have lots of friends. in my oppinion its probly because he is used to getting all of your attention not liking the idea of having to share it with what some guys may view as competition!

There is simply no way that peer pressure can be good to you. You have to be confident and pay attention to what you are going to do . Leaders become more successful and having a unique train of thought will help set you a part from everyone else that follow their "friends" .
