How should someone with an IQ of 145 deal with someone whose IQ is 90?

This question assumes that the person with an IQ of 145 is special. Sorry, kiddo, it's not so. All that an IQ score means is that you learn easier. The person with an IQ of 90 is not dumb, nor is s/he stupid. All it means is that s/he thinks differently than you do. S/he may not be as quick to solve problems as you do, or s/he might have to work hard to get the same concepts as you.

All people have value and all people can teach you something. You might have a very high IQ, but you might not be able to screw in a light bulb correctly..which the other person does most efficiently. Or you might ace a school work test, and they don't..but they can fix your car and you can't.

Never become arrogant about your intelligence. There are more factors at work here than the very real fact that you are quite smart. You might be a total klutz when it comes to coordination, or be color blind, or have some other normal abnormality. This person with the IQ of 90 might become the most proficient chef in the world with a string of restaurants...but you are smarter. Big deal. Which would be the more successful?

The moral of this little exercise is that you might be near genius in one type of test, but you might never achieve success because you become proud of a "score". Treat the other person with respect as you would wish to be treated, and possibly..just possibly..they might teach you something you never thought to learn.

One other thought. There are infinitely more people with the lower IQs out there than there are of us. It makes life much easier to deal with people as you would like to be treated. After all, they outnumber us...a bunch.

Dignity, respect, and kindness always serves humankind more faithfully than does arrogance. Show these people that you are worthy of the intelligence that you have been given, give the dignity of being respectful to others.
