through operations or laser....
Not really. It does allow you to see as if you had good vision, but your it doesn't correct your eyes, it adjusts the light so it hits your eyes correctly. True correction for vision is surgery and that's not 100% -I have been told that without your glasses your eyes get worse . So wear your glasses/contacts and it can make your eyesight better . I'm sorry if this is wrong , that's what I have been told .
Glasses. Definatley. My friend had contacts when she was a kid, and she said it was a nightmare. She couldn't put them on without scratching her eyes, and when they were finally on, they had smudges all over them. Glasses are better.
I started wearing contacts when I became more active. It's a pain not to see well when you are traveling and contacts are simple. However, I have been wearing them for a year and seeing without them is very different. After using contacts for a long time your eyes will get used to a clear world and not wearing them makes everything look blurry. Your vision probably hasn't changed, you are just not used to it. I wouldn't recomend contacts for first-time glasses users because their eyes are probably already good.
Contacts are meant to correct your vision. They are supposed to have the same function as glasses without the inconvenience.
Short sightedness is a state where-in we're unable to see clearly the objects which are not in a short distance. This condition is due to the light rays falling on the eye lens not focussing on retina. This can be treated by consulting Ophthalmologist and wearing the corrective glasses. You can also do regular simple eye exercises and palming for improving you vision. (you could read thru' the book "Better eyesight without glasses" by Dr. Diren Gala / "Better eyesight without glasses" by Bates).
Yes, Wearing 3D television glasses without your perscription glasses may highly distort what you are seeing, i would recomend wearing perscription glasses high on your nose and wearing your 3D glasses low on your nose, that way they do not bump.
Using the right makeup can make your eyes appear bluer without wearing contacts.
to help people see without glasses, it makes people happier, like me.
As an optometry student, I'm having trouble trying to make sense of your question, and that's because it makes no sense at all. "Bad eyesight" does not affect the "brightness" at your retina; rather, it affects the accuracy with which light rays focus on it. Luminance is controlled by factors such as pupil size, not your prescription. And unless you put a tint in your spectacles, glasses will do nothing to affect "brightness at the retina" at all.
Without the appropriate eye protection (not just dark glasses) your eyesight can be damaged to such a degree that you could be rendered blind
That depends on your local regulations. Where I'm from, you have to have 20/40 vision or better. That translates to roughly +/- 1 diopter. Note that if you can see fine during the day, you may have trouble seeing at night. It's a common condition called "night-time myopia", where your eyeglass prescription gets a little worse at night. If you don't like wearing glasses, you can get more attractive frames with an anti-reflective coating or wear contacts. You could have dedicated "driving glasses", and get them with a mild tint. Tell your friends that "if you're serious about driving, you'd know that you should wear driving glasses" or something. Safety first.
