How should you handle abusive strangers such as those in parking lots who scream ugly insults at others over who parks where and so on?

Since verbal abuse can become physical abuse, it is best to leave the situation and the place. You should not answer or become involved in these situations. You have a choice as to where to be and, although these people have no real right to infringe on yours, it is the better part of valor to move on and spend your time in a better, safer, place. If you feel they are endangering other people, call the police after leaving the area and let them handle it. You could also let the restaurant or store know that they did not get your business that night because of the people in the parking lot. You dont have to be the one to handle this. You let the person that is getting spoken to that way deal with it, unless it gets physical, then you call the police. You cant fight others battles and you may get more then you asked for. People are frustrated, underpaid and on drugs, so keep your distance when it doesnt directly involve you. Im not saying to turn the other cheek, if you see this same abusive person, time after time doing the same thing, notify management of store of situation, let them handle it. If you are with a person that is getting spoken to this way, then you can get involved.
