The good thing about a baby snapping turtle is that they dont like to bask so u dont need a light. U should set the tank up with a rock and a piece of lettuce, or some kind of water plants so that the baby snapper can hide under it
a snapping turtle makes its home by trying to explore new places and where it used to live before they have to find the difference on which is better old home or new home. A snapping turtle makes it home in a ocean or in a pond. In a ocean there are a lot of animals that the snapping turtle eats. and in the pond there are all different animals that you might have and the snapping turtle might have the pond to itself. Also it can make its home with other animals in the pond in one of the snapping turtles one and only part of the pond with all of the other animals. I hope you enjoyed learning about how a snapping turtle makes it home and where?
Since I live at a home that has a creek, I know what it is like to have baby snapping turtles. I have also taken care of a couple big ones. Snapping turtles eat worms, June Bugs, crickets and small fish. If it is a baby, cut the worms and fish up smaller. They will eat whole crickets and June Bugs though.
There are some people who think that it is wrong to have one as a pet. but by my means. i think its alright to have a snapping turtle or alligator snapping turtle as a pet. but i mean if you're gonna have one well make sure it is in a good enviorment and that its not mistreated at least.
There are many different species of turtle, some of which are legally protected, such as the sea turtle. Leave baby sea turtles alone. Snapping turtles are not legally protected; you can do what you like with them, however, they do snap, so you could get bitten. Consult your local pet store for other options. In general, wild animals and the babies of wild animals prefer not to be abducted by humans.
You should keep a baby red ear slider away from other pets like dogs and cats because they are small so keep them in a good tank with maybe other baby turtles
Any animal born in the wild should be left in the wild. If you already have a turtle, care should be taken to meet all of its needs. If you set up a proper habitat in your home, a turtle will thrive.
Red ear sliders are a commonly sold pet at most pet stores, so it should be no problem finding a turtle companion
Under the water dumb dumb.
depends on what kind of turtle
Try small pellets of floating turtle food, wax worms and even small bugs... If you have a new pet turtle it might not eat for the first couple days you have it so just leave it alone and let it get used to its new home
you would be playing and this window comes up, it should say "you have found a baby turtle/squid you should post for adoption" post it. then go on home page and find your post the look at the bottom it should say adopt fish. If some one else hasn't already taken it you get a new fish. that probably doesnt work now because it says that you cant take your own fish.
well i just was about to get a baby turtle myself and was asking the same thing i did some reaserch and found the answer. These thing i am about to list are for common painter or snapping turtles. I have been using these thing in my tank for my turtle and he is alive and healty. first you want a pretty good size tank like at least 10 gallon some rocks to put at the bottom of the tank a big rock for them to go on a couple of plants one heat lamp and one light a filter andsomething they can hide in when there scared and of coruse turtle food i recomend RepotMin most pet stores have it. Hope my advice was helpful and tell me how your new turtle is doing and how he likes his new home :)
