Breast milk is an excellent source of vital nutrients for babies. Milk has protein, vitamins, and minerals essential for the first few months of life. What else would you feed your baby? Water doesn't have any nutrients (maybe a minuscule amount of minerals if it's not filtered; apple juice has vitamin C but contains tons of sugar and not much else.

∙ 15y agoWell, the doctors take the baby to clean it and take blood tests and all that. Then they will show you a chart that will tell you when they last ate. They eat every 3 hours.

∙ 13y agoBy breast or by bottle - breast milk is the best with formula a close second. Formula cannot give the baby antibodies that come from breast milk.
