It already has. There is a 10 year patent on drugs by a manufacturer. Once this is up the patent is open. Sure is and just about as expensive as the non-gerenic; Get it from Northwestern Pharmacy in Canada about 15 cents per pill. Pay over $ 4.00 per in the USA.

Would 12.5 mg of Lamictal cause a slight rash on your stomach and a blister on your cheek?

It's a low dose for an adult... BUT yes Lamictal could be causing these effects. You should report this to your prescribing doctor IMMEDIATELY. It may be unrelated to the Lamictal, but it's quite likely that it could be due to the drug, especially if it's newly (under 4 months) started. In this case it's a sign of a more serious side effect of the Lamictal. Your docor will probably want to change your medication pretty rapidly if this is the case. Please don't panic however. I'd be grateful if you tell us how you get on.

When will a generic Celebrex be available in the US?

The patent for Celebrex expires in 2013. It is expected that once Celebrex goes off-patent, several companies will begin manufacturing a generic Celebrex drug. Normally in the United States, one company is given 180 days of exclusivity to manufacture a generic version of a drug. After 180 days, other manufacturers of generic medications will likely begin making a generic form of Celebrex. No. Celecoxib is the active ingredient in Celebrex, but it is not a generic version of it. This can be confusing, because the active ingredient of any drug is often referred to as the "generic name." But the generic name is not the same as a generic version of a medicine. For there to be a generic version of a medicine, the original medicine must first go off-patent. Then another company besides the original manufacturer must start making the product.

Is generic version librax sold in US?

Why is generic Librax hard to get and so expensive

What is the difference between brand name and generic?

Brand named drugs are those drugs that were first developed by the pharmaceutical company. Generic is a COPY of a drug. In my opinion Brand name drugs are a little more potent (better). The more you copy something the less it becomes. My dad worked for a pharmaceutical company Lilly Corp. and says Brand is better. Its more expensive but better. This is true when it comes to opiate pain killers!!

Generic Requip should be available at many U.S. pharmacies in June or July 2008. However, if your local pharmacy doesn't have it, you can order it now from these licensed foreign pharmacies. These pharmacies have it already because their local drug regulation bodies approved Generic Requip earlier than the US FDA did. InternationalDrugMart.com: Requip costs US$101.44 for 90tabs/2mgs. Isrameds.com: Requip is $174.20 for 84tabs/ 2mgs.

When will there be a generic Fondaparinux?

In the US, a drug patent lasts twenty years, if patented after 1995 (17years prior). New drugs usually have multiple patients covering numerous aspects of the agent and the manufacturing process. Generics can be introduced after the patent expires. However, the drug companies apply for the patent when the drug is discovered, then it has to be studied to prove safety and efficacy before the drug reaches the market (5-10years) A generic version typically appears 7-10 years after the patented version. Originators typically sue generic companies over a number of years to protect their patents. Originators also have been granted patent extensions under special circumstances.
