The spark timing must conform to the increase in rpm's of the engine. If the timing does not advance as the speed increases, the spark will not happen at the correct time during the exhaust stroke.
The opposite end to where the pen would write
If the pencil has writng running up the side, put thepencil on its side so the writing is the correct way up, the bottom of the pencil (where you should start sharpening it) is where the writing starts and the top is where it ends. If there is a rubber at one end that's the top. if the pencil has no markings then whatever end you don't sharpen will be the top.
The spinning thing on top of a helicopter is called a 'rotor'. They are also on the end of boats to propel them through water.
it helps prevent the body tube and the eyepiece to collapse. It holds up the top of the microscope.
it help because the more air you have the more your body can suspend on top of the water surface
Advanced timing is when the spark plug fires AFTER Top Dead Center, retarded timing is when it fires BEFORE TDC.
the timing should be set top dead center with the number one spark plug
On the top of the Block on the top end.
ignition timing is the time when your spark plugs fires the gas in the engine cylenders usually tdc or top dead center on the #1 cylender
The timing should be set to Top Dead Center (TDC), but you must disconnect the electronic spark advance feature. Unfortunately, I don't know how to disconnect the spark advance. The timing chain is all that can be set. There is no way to set the timing as the distributor is not adjustable.
A hotter spark plug can add some more top end torque. Also, adding a high quality spark plug wire and top quality gas can also help.
The plug is firing after Top Dead Centre of the piston travel. Move the spark timing to before Top Dead Centre
these can be found at the end of the plug leads lying across the top of the cam, or top of engine .remember to number from end to end or extract one at a time not to mix up.
The powervalve is a quarter moon shaped plate that rests on the top of the exhaust port. when the engine hits a certain rpm the plate slides back which advances the port timing. Advanced port timing yeilds more top end power, and retarded timing (later timing) gives better bottom end power.
combination of timing marks and take out spark plug on cyl #1 and put a rag in spark plug hole and when it pops out as you turn engine over by hand you will be on compression stroke ,then just align crankshaft timing marks.
on top of the engine right down the middle. Have to remove to cover and front cover over timing belt.
4 degrees btc-before top dead center with the vacuum spark line disconnected.the timing mark location is on the harmonic balancer. this is for a 327 engine
