My malti/poo is going to be 5 years old and it 15 lb.

Im still surprised on how big its grown. When I bought him the store seller told me it was only gonna grow no more than 10 lb. and smaller than a shoe box. well that was all a lie because to me his still growing.

Hard to say really considering a malitpoo isn't a actual breed but a hybrid. It could get as tall as the Maltese which are usually only about a foot or so tall, or as tall as the poodle which can be anywhere from one to two feet tall. Assuming that it is in fact a teacup variety, probably meaning that one or the other parent was a teacup as well, I suspect it won't get much taller then about a one foot to a foot and a half. more then likely it will fall somewhere between the height of the two parents which is probably impossible to tell. You can also look at its feet and gestimate about how tall it will be considering the feet and tail are the fastest parts of the puppy to grow.

First, there is no such thing as a "teacup" poodle, or "teacup" any breed. The term teacup is a marketing ploy used by unethical breeders and puppy farmers. The AKC, the recognized authority on Dog Breeds, recognizes only three standards of breeds: standard, miniature, and toy.

Practically speaking, any animal seller (and that term is intended to be a bit derogatory) who markets "teacup" breeds, who has actually bred his animals to be smaller to fit the term has done a huge disservice to his customers and to the animals he sells. "Teacup" dogs do not typically live longer than three to five years, and they usually have very serious health problems that lead to very costly veterinarian bills, and they require constant care and attention by their owners.

There is no standard size for any animal to be labelled "teacup." So, if considering the purchase of one that has been labelled such, beware.

Are there such things as teacup pomeranians?

Yes there is. Teacup pomeranians were just voted a real dog breed but that was not very long ago probly just 3 weeks ago to. But even if they were not voted three weeks ago I just want to tell all those people out there that yes there is such thing because teacup in dog breeds just means smaller then they ussaly are. But since there are so many teacup pomeranians now that they voted it an offical dog breed.

Is there a difference between a teacup pomeranian and an average pomeranian?

A toy poodle is a recognised breed of poodle. It is the smallest breed of poodle that is recognised by the BKC and AKC. The teacup poodle is not recognised by the governing BKC or AKC associations. It is a poodle but it is usually a much smaller than normal sized poodle and they breed these poodles together which result in a even smaller poodle which is called a teacup poodle. The poodles that are usually bred together are toy poodles which are smaller than the set size for that particular size. They are mostly the same except that Toy Poodles are larger than Teacup Poodles.

Where can you buy a pomeranian?

There is no such thing as a 'miniature' pomeranian. If you want a small pomeranian, you'll have to ask the breeder if you can see the parents of the puppies you're considering to buy. You can guess how big a puppy will get by looking at the parents.

What kind of health concerns might a teacup pomeranian have?
