There could be multiple reasons for the failure. Common reasons that can be sighted are overload than the rated capacity. increase in the speed above the mention limit. Poor maintenance. Oil and lubricating issues.

For prevention maintenance check the oil temp, oil properties and most important do a routine condition monitoring of the gearbox.

Hope this helps you out.

How do you get a crane on top of a building?

This is one of the mysteries of the universe. The answer was revealed to me once in Shanghai. A crane "grows" or gets taller as needed as the building under construction is built. the top section of the crane as a lift built in. The crane hauls a new section, like a section of scaffolding, up to the top and sets in place. I'm told that a crane is often anchored in place in the base of the elevator shaft, so when the building is complete, they lift the crane out section by section, leaving the very base in the elevator shaft permanently. Or at least that's the way I understand it to happen.

What is a single overhead camshaft?

It is an engine that has it's one and only cam shaft in the head above the valves. Instead of having it below in the block. A double overhead cam has two cams in each head.

What are the misuses of universal joints?

Changing the angle of the drive shaft when lifting the vehicle's suspension puts excess stress on the universal joints, expect premature wear or breakage to occur.

Which component is not needed in a typical overhead cam engine valve spring rocker arm cam shaft push rod?

Push rod.

How do you change a cam shaft?

Older engines, not overhead cam, it goes in from the front of the motor and you need to put in new bearings with the cam. Overhead cam is under the valve cover and is held in place with caps that bolt on. Take the timing belt pulley off the front, hold tension on it so that the timing doesn't jump, remove the caps and lift out the cam shaft.

How does the timing belt need to be put on a 1991 Nissan Pathfinder?

if it is a 4 cylinder, the cam shaft dot is straight up and the crank shaft is straight up. the dots are on the gears. easier to visit a mechanic if its a V6 with overhead cams... trust me

Where is the Cam shaft is found?

On top of the head on some cars. In the engine block on others.

What does SFI SOHC mean in any vehicle?

SOHC mean Single OverHead Cam Shaft,it is basically mechanism of controlling Valve of an automobile engine..cam shaft located at the head of cylinder.it pushes valve as per pre determined interval of time to facilitate entry of air-fuel mixer in to the cylinder.cam shaft is driven by crank shaft.previously cam shaft was side of cylinder block, now a days it is located in the head of cylinder.that is why it is called overhead. another type is DOHC-Dual OverHead Cam Shaft-where two cam shaft operate the valve opening and closing. however after entering of air-fuel mixure into the cylinder it burn. hence power is produce. SFI stands for Fuel Stratified Injection.it is advanced fuel injection system which facilitate to consume less amount of fuel during combustion (burning). basically now a days fuel is directly inject in to the combustion-chamber of each cylinder-engine.as oppose to curburator system.so SFI is the same system. engrmoinu@yahoo.com

What is the reason for turbo shaft broken?

A turbo shaft can break due to several factors, including material fatigue, excessive temperature, improper lubrication, or mechanical stress beyond its design limits. Over time, repeated thermal cycling and vibrations can weaken the material, leading to failure. Additionally, foreign object damage or manufacturing defects can also contribute to a turbo shaft breakage. Regular maintenance and monitoring can help prevent such failures.

What does strong alkali do to your hair?

Strong alkali, such as that found in some hair relaxers or perms, can break down the protein structure of your hair, leading to damage like dryness, breakage, and loss of elasticity. It can also weaken the hair shaft and alter its texture.

Where is the cam shaft located at on 1999 Saturn 1.9 engine?

The Saturn 4 cylinder engines were available in 2 styles, the single overhead cam and the dual overhead cam. In both engine types, the camshafts were always in the head, just under the top cover of the engine. If you remove the top cover (where you install the sparkplugs) you will see the camshaft(s).

What is the difference between a cam shaft sensor an a crank sensor?

A cam sensor tells the computer when number one compression stroke is happening, the crank sensor tell the computer when to fire the sparkplugs.
