You do not really need to make the chickens fast prior to slaughter. Fasting allows for an empty crop and digestive system but that is only to limit fecal matter contamination when the body cavity is emptied after plucking. When done properly, the internal organs can be removed completely without contamination. The slaughtered birds need to be thoroughly washed after preparation anyway.
Then the fasting is not done! It doesn't count like that! In order to make you're fasting count then you have to start fasting during Fajr time. End at Maghrib time. Few people don't know how to fast!... Happy Ramadan Sep 1 - 30 / 2008

At the fasting time
There is no information available for who the Farrah of fasting is. However, Farrah is a girls name and fasting is when you replace meals with a time of prayer and medication.
Yes, but it's not double the time. I would start checking the chicken after the recipe says it is done - you want the meat to be 165 degrees in the thickest portion of the meat. If it's not done, close the oven back up and wait another 5 minutes for every 5 degrees it is below done. Check again, and recheck as often as needed until the chicken is cooked through.
As per my experience, I can say fasting teaches us everything. It has helped me a lot by giving me emotional help. There was a time where i used to stay very depressed. But my fasting coach and his fasting support got me out of that situation.
Lent
Cooking chicken is done by using a slightly lower temperature, and allowing a longer time to the chicken to be cooked fully through. Cooking at a high temp. will char the outside of the meat, and leave the inside uncooked.
A time of fasting is to remember what Christ did for us in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights, he made a sacrafice and resisted tempatation for us. If you are a religious person and want to please your Lord then fasting is far from a waste of time. But if you don't want to give up food by fasting, perhaps there is something else you usually do that you don't mind giving up for Lent.
Lent is a time of sharing, praying, and fasting. and is also a time of glory!
If the doctor required you to fast, they usually tell you the time frame. If this was not done ( I assume it wasn't based on the question), then play it safe and do not eat after 12:00 am.
