We have two basic forces with which we can lead any kind of life we wish.

They are,

1. Primary Voluntary force

2. Primary Involuntary force

Voluntary force is smaller and is under our control.

The involuntary force is larger but not our control.

What is Self?

Self is a state of mind the other part being 'I'.

All the skeletal muscles of the body can contract and relax as a single unit called Unified Skeletal Muscle, popularly known as mind.

The body is nothing but the isotonic component of the skeletal muscular system. Movements of body are rehearsed in the mind and are called these movements in the rehearsal stage is what we call thoughts.

The thoughts can be designer made in which case we use voluntary force. In this case the thoughts have to be few.

They can be generated whole sale in which case we use the involuntary force. For this all thoughts have to be similar and have the same status.

Thus when we process a large volume of thoughts we would be using what we call our Self. Anatomically we would be using the upper half of our USM.

Limitations of the basic self:

We do wish to have a mighty force. However, we want it to be under our control. Therefore, the Basic Self is not the Ideal one. Therefore, it transforms itself depending on the situation.

1. Natural Self:

If the hospitality of the environment we live in varies from best to worst, the Basic self splits into two enclosing the voluntary force in the middle. On the outside it erects fences called positive and negative attitudes. Thus, between the positive and negative attitudes we will have a mighty force that is under our control.

The central voluntary part of this force is what we call 'I'.

The Self in the natural form enables us to maintain status quo when the environment we live in is chaotic.

The disadvantage of the Natural Self for modern people is that it maintains status quo.

2. Progressive Self:

It is obvious that the Natural Self has a negative component which forces us to achieve and a negative component which enables us to enjoy what we have achieved.

In the Progressive Self the positive self along with negative attitude is discarded and only the negative self with the positive attitude is retained. Thus, progress with self in this form is more.

The secondary involuntary force is like the rectified form of the semi voluntary force which is alternating. The secondary involuntary force is under control in the direction of progress only. We can't afford to have positive emotions with this Self.

3. Status altering Self:

The disadvantage of the Progressive Self is that the base line remains unaffected. Thus, we can't alter our status. Thus, we have to deal with people of our class only.

In the status altering Self the second half of the negative wave is discarded. only the part of the wave from baseline to the top of the wave is retained and the other half is clipped off. Thus the waves are in the form of saw tooth. During the phase it returns to the baseline vertically the Status altering self resets the status to the desired level.

4. Compulsive Self:

In the compulsive Self there is no baseline at all. Thus it is not limited by anything.

The graph is no more wave like. It is Just a straight vertical line. There is no time to control this Self.

Self in this form enables us to achieve anything provided we are ready to pay any price.
