Earth's gravitational field extends to infinity.

No matter how far you are from the earth, It's gravitational field will always pull you towards it. However, the further you are from the earth, the weaker that force will be.

What is the different between geomagnetism and gravity?

Geomagnetism is the study of the earths magnetic field. The structure of the magnetic field of the earth is far more complex than the structure of the gravity field. Tidal variations in magnetic field have greater magnitude and more complex frequency structure as compared to the magnitude and frequency structure of tidal variation in gravity feilds. Gravity is an inherent property of all objects on the earth surface but geomagnetism is not . The earths magnetic pull is much weaker than its gravitational pull. Geomagnetism is Dipolar while gravity is not.

What can be said about the force of earths gravity pulling on the books?

Earths gravity acts on everything from its center of gravity to everything else's center of gravity.

Is the earths gravity the same as the magnetic field if not what is the difference in effects?

i dont know its aload of bumf go away :p

Is earths magnetic field caused by gravity?

It isnt. Two different forces; gravity and magnetism. As for how gravity works; all objects have their own "gravity", the bigger they are, the more gravitational pull they have. Why gravity works; nobody knows or we would all have flying cars.

What is the gravity on the moon lo?

About 0.183g, where one g is the earths gravity, so about one fifth of the earths gravity. It is similar to our own moons surface gravity.
