Edit: Agreed. I've found that even updating the Java client doesn't make a bit of difference when playing it on Google Chrome. Mozilla Firefox runs it the best because of data compression. If you don't want to change your browser to play, download RuneScape to your computer so you can play it without a browser, directly over your internet connection.

∙ 9y agoThe requirements are the same as for the regular RuneScape - you need a browser, and it must be capable of running Java. - Basically Java doesn't come included on the Chromebook, and according to to one reference I found, it says something like "Basically you can't install Java on a Chromebook (for the average user)". However, you can also find instructions (for more advanced users) that let you install Java on a Chromebook. Quote, from one of those references: "Now, if you REALLY need Java to run on a Chromebook, there are ways, but not without installing another operating system like Ubuntu via Crouton."
