You multiply it by 0.75, exactly as we used to do it before
anyone had ever heard of Excel, or of Microsoft.
_______________
If you have a value, say in cell A1, then you can put the following formula in cell B1 to do this:
=A1 * 0.75
You can use the percentage sign in a formula or use the value as a decimal. If you have a value in B3 and want to add 25 percent to it, you could use any of the following formulas in another cell:
=B3*125%
=B3*1.25
=B3+(B3*25%)
=B3/4*5
=(B2*B3)+25%
.25 x 60,000 = 15,000 add to get 75,000
percent say cell A30 is 25 then =A30% would get you 0.25
15% + 25% = 40%
Multiply the number by 100 and add a percent symbol.
0.50 + 0.25 = 0.75
25%.Add: 18.00/72.00 x 100 = 25%
The number multiplied by 1.25
Total number * 1.25
Use conditional formatting
12.5 percent can be written with a percent symbol or as a decimal in Excel: 12.5% 0.125
one fourth percent = .25 percecnt (.25%) divide by 100 to convert from percent to decimal (.25/100=.0025) Add the 6 = 6.0025
You get 17.
