I just fixed the brakes on my GX75. I removed the linkage from the transaxle, then I removed the nylock nut that held the brake lever on the transaxle. I had to remove the braket that the brake lever rides in also. On either side if the threaded stud that held the brake lever were a couple of pins that should float freely. Mine did not. soak with PB Blaster or some other penatrating oil. Go do something else for a while. I would strike mine with a hammer and the put vice grips on as tight as they could go, with the hangles pointing out away from the transaxle. I would wiggle up and down and add more oil. They were very, VERY hard to get out, be patient. I chucked them up in my cordless drill and gave them a spin with some sandpaper. Then I greased them up and replaced. I put a big blob of grease on top to both lube the brake lever and keep moisture out. After reassebling everything I tightened the nylock nut until I felt the brakes drag a little, then backed off till the mower rolled freely. They work great now.
The brake is on the right hand side in board of the frame and the brake rod can befollowed to the lever. There is a nut that requires a 1/2" wrench to tighten; do it in small steps as it can make the machine difficult to shift if you get it too tight.
You'll need a 1/2 wrench. On the right side of the transmission, behind the right rear tire there is a bolt in the center of the caliper. Tighten the bolt one quarter turn at a time until you have brakes.

I had to do exactly that.
Step 1: remove both back wheels. There is a spring loaded clip each wheel that needs to be removed. This can be muscled off using screwdrivers and pliers, but get a proper tool if possible.
2. Flip mower onto right side. Carefull not to pinch your fingers between the mowing deck and upper portion!! Also when fliping it back upright!
3. completely remove transaxle.
start by disassembling the brake lever attachment.
remove the 8 gold color bolts (13mm)holding the transaxle to the frame.
remove the linkage for the gear shifter.
wiggle unit out of chassis. This is a bit tricky, but can be done. Includes some wiring too.
4. take transaxle apart by removing the dozen (18?) or so black screws (10mm)
5. replace brake pads, reassemble transaxle. Check for lube issues, and add grease if possible. Look out for bad bearings.
6. Put everything back together, and don't screw up the drive belts like I did, or you'll be taking the transaxle back off.
Only takes about 5 hours.

First off the old worn brakes have to be removed. Next attach the new brakes according to manufacturers directions. Now the mower should be good to go.
Just cut them in half.
I also would like to know how to do that without dissamble to whole gearbox. Anyone a idea ?

it could be too much oil or a worn valve guide or ill fitting rings i highly doubt it is a head gasket problem
